Community Partners
[22nd December 2009 | No Comments]For almost 80 years we have delivered commercial real estate projects that have made lasting contributions to the Bay Area. The Bohannon family has always embraced our role as stewards for the future of this community, and so our projects have emphasized neighborly values, as well as quality, attractive development. Commercial and R&D buildings house jobs, foster innovation, stimulate economic growth, and create a positive, engaging environment for the surrounding community. We also actively support many community organizations and continue to champion opportunities for community improvement.
With respect to our Menlo Gateway proposal, we are working closely with members of the Belle Haven community to ensure that we are sensitive to their concerns and that the project positively enhances the Belle Haven neighborhood. We also are working with JobTrain, a Menlo Park-based educational and training institution, to generate awareness of the jobs that will be created by Menlo Gateway so that graduates can begin to prepare themselves and get “first crack” at these jobs. Many JobTrain graduates will become valued employees by Menlo Gateway businesses. To kick off this awareness campaign, we co-hosted a Career Fair in September to showcase job opportunities for area residents and to help them connect with employers.
Neighbors help neighbors. That’s why we are helping members of our local community benefit first from the Menlo Gateway project.
